William Michael Hart, MD, CAQSM

Dr. Hart grew up in Springfield, Missouri. He earned a Bachelors of Science in Biology at Davidson College and a Doctorate of Medicine from Wake Forest University where he also finished his residency in Family Medicine. At the University of Colorado, he completed his Fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine.

During his time in Colorado, he served as a team physician for the University of Colorado-Boulder and the University of Denver. He worked with a variety of teams including Football, Skiing, Basketball and Men and Women’s Soccer. Dr. Hart also provided medical care for a variety of other NCAA events including the National Skiing Championships, gymnastics, and hockey. He has also been involved with the San Francisco Giants Major League Baseball Team, Winston-Salem Warthogs Minor League Baseball, and a number of endurance events and high school football team coverage.

In addition to his clinical interest in family and sports medicine, Dr. Hart enjoys teaching family medicine residents. He is also a board member of the Copernicus Group, an independent review board for clinical research.

Dr Hart lives in the triangle area with his wife Angie. In his free time, he enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, playing golf, and most importantly, spending time with his family.
