Dr. Andrew James will be joining the CFPSM Holly Springs office mid-August 2026. He is accepting new patients. Dr. James is a board-certified family and sports medicine physician who enjoys providing comprehensive, patient-centered care that supports both short-term goals and long-term health. In addition to delivering family medicine care, he specializes in non-operative orthopedics and ultrasound-guided procedures. Dr. James is passionate about helping patients of all ages restore function, maintain an active lifestyle, and effectively manage the ups and downs that come along the way.
Dr. James’s education began at North Carolina State University, where he graduated from the Honors College with a degree in Human Biology. He went on to earn his medical degree from Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed family medicine residency training at Novant Health in Charlotte, North Carolina. During residency, he earned additional certifications in Preventive Cardiology and Integrative Medicine. Following residency graduation, he completed a Fellowship in Sports Medicine with Cone Health in Greensboro, North Carolina. He is always working to expand his healthcare knowledge and is currently working toward certifications from the Institute of Functional Medicine. Dr. James has a passion for longevity medicine, and he is committed to helping patients build healthier, more sustainable futures.
Originally from Chicago, Illinois, he is an avid Chicago Bears fan. He brings a compassionate and holistic approach to both recovery and preventive care.
Dr. James will be serving as the Team Physician for Felton Grove High School.
Dr. James currently lives in Holly Springs, North Carolina, with his wife and child. He is an active member of his local church, and in his free time, you may find him on the golf course or hunting/fishing with friends and family.
