Residency:  Baylor College of Medicine

Dr. Martin was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. After graduating, he earned his medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine as well as met his wife, Megan. He then completed his Family Medicine Residency at Baylor College of Medicine where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Dr. Martin has continued act on his passion for service and caring for the underserved through his work developing organizations focused on providing meals for the food and housing-insecure as well as working with organizations that provide health and exercise teaching for underserved children and families in our nation’s capital. He hopes to deepen his heart for service and incorporate activity, lifestyle, and sports medicine into his efforts of outreach. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and dog, Franklin, as well as running, trying new restaurants, and baking cookies.

Dr., Martin is a UNC Sports Medicine Fellow that will be rotating with CFPSM during the 2025-2026 academic year.
