Undergraduate: The University of Tennessee – Knoxville
Med School and Residency: UTHSC in Memphis
Dr. Barton grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduated from The University of Tennessee – Knoxville with a BA in Hispanic Studies. He completed his MD and Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency at UTHSC in Memphis. As a Med-Peds doc and avid runner, he has special interests in endurance sports and college athletics. Outside of work, he enjoys road and trail running and spending time with his wife, Becca, and two sons, Henry and Eli. Blake is thrilled to be a part of the UNC Sports Medicine program and the opportunity to explore the Triangle!
Dr. Barton is a UNC Sports Medicine fellow that will be rotating with CFPSM during the 2025-2026 academic year.
