CFPSM would like to announce the following changes regarding our physician assistants at CFPSM:

Jennifer Carr PA-C recently welcomed her second child and will not be returning to CFPSM upon the completion of her maternity leave. We will miss her greatly as she gave several years of dedicated service to our patients as an athletic trainer as well as a provider when she returned after completing PA school.  We wish Jen and her family all the best!

Mary Boyce PA-C will begin seeing patients in Raleigh on Wednesday, January 7, 2015.  Mary grew up in Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Biology in 2007. After completing her undergraduate studies, Mary continued her education at Jefferson College of Health Sciences, where she graduated with distinction in 2010. After completing her training, Mary relocated from her hometown of Lynchburg, Virginia to Edenton, North Carolina to join a family practice. She was in the National Health Service Core for 2 years serving the rural underserved population. She moved to the Triangle in the summer of 2013. After moving to Raleigh, she worked in Urgent Care before returning to Family Medicine.

Mary is an academic and medical research enthusiast with an interest in acute care and health education. With her background in nutrition, she enjoys diabetic and weight loss counseling as well as developing exercise programs for a healthy lifestyle and chronic disease management.

Mary is married to Matt Boyce, a computer engineer. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, biking, scuba diving, and various other outdoor activities.

Priscilla Petrash PA-C will see patients in both the Cary and Raleigh offices beginning mid-January 2015.  Priscilla grew up in Irving, Texas. She attended the University of Texas in Austin, where she was a student-athlete on the Division I women’s soccer team and helped lead the team to two Big 12 championships. At the University of Texas, she was named Big 12 All-Academic first team and was on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll and the University of Texas Honors List for all four years. Priscilla later attended PA school at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, where she received the Dean’s scholarship for outstanding students and graduated with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies.

Following PA school, Priscilla worked in a busy family medicine practice in Coppell, Texas. In 2013, she moved to Chapel Hill, NC with her husband, where she continued her work as a PA in primary care.

Priscilla is married to John-Paul Petrash, a Ph. D student in political theory at UNC. They have one young son. In her spare time Priscilla enjoys running, playing sports, being outdoors, and spending time with her family.

We are pleased to welcome both Mary and Priscilla to the CFPSM family.
