This month, Carolina Family Practice & Sports Medicine begins a new endeavor – as a rotation site for UNC’s Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship program.  With this new affiliation, CFPSM will host two fellows for the next 12 months, allowing them a unique opportunity to enhance their primary care skills and further develop skills in sports medicine such as musculoskeletal injury evaluation and management and concussion evaluation and management.  As our patients know, our providers are passionate about education and feel strongly about sharing our primary care sports medicine model with emerging clinicians, thus positively impacting our community and our world.  In addition to working alongside our current physicians, our fellows will also be active in community outreach, a tradition that all CFPSM providers and staff take a great deal of pride in.

Please welcome Dr. Mark Sakr and Dr. Natasha Harrison to CFPSM (see sidebar for their bios).  We are looking forward to an exciting year!
