In October 2015, two CSCC representatives attended the TEAM (Targeted Evaluation and Active Management of Concussion) Conference in Pittsburgh. As a result of this conference, an article was developed and published in the medical journal Neurosurgery in December 0f 2016.
Dr. Josh Bloom, Medical Director of the Carolina Sports Concussion Clinic, and Janna Fonseca, Head Athletic Trainer, participated in the conference and subsequent authorship of the article.
The article summarizes 16 “Points of Agreement” arrived upon during the two-day meeting which was attended by concussion specialists from across the country.
