Mary Boyce grew up in Virginia and graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Biology in 2007. After completing her undergraduate studies, Mary continued her education at Jefferson College of Health Sciences, where she graduated with distinction in 2010. After completing her training, Mary relocated from her hometown of Lynchburg, Virginia to Edenton, North Carolina to join a family practice. She was in the National Health Service Core for 2 years serving the rural underserved population. She moved to the Triangle in the summer of 2013. After moving to Raleigh, she worked in Urgent Care before returning to Family Medicine.
Mary is an academic and medical research enthusiast with an interest in acute care and health education. With her background in nutrition, she enjoys diabetic and weight loss counseling as well as developing exercise programs for a healthy lifestyle and chronic disease management.
Mary is married to Matt Boyce, a computer engineer. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, biking, scuba diving, and various other outdoor activities.
