Dr. Duron Lee joined Carolina Family Practice & Sports Medicine in November 2017 having relocated to the triangle area from Philadelphia, PA.  He is accepting new patients in our Cary office.  He is the team physician for Fuquay-Varina High School.

He is originally from Springfield, Massachusetts and attended medical school at Drexel University School of Medicine. He completed his family medicine residency at Bryn Mawr Family Practice in Pennsylvania after initially starting his residency training in general surgery. He soon came to the realization that his passion lied not with surgery, but with caring for the whole family and decided to pursue a career in primary care medicine. He completed his primary care sports medicine fellowship training at The Pennsylvania State University in “Happy Valley.”  He has conducted extensive research as a doctoral candidate in biomedical engineering in the fields of regenerative medicine and tissue engineering focusing on the use of adult stem cells, biomaterials and growth factor delivery systems.

He worked for year at Vybe Urgent in Philadelphia providing a plethora of urgent care needs to adults and children prior to him relocating to North Carolina.

Dr. Lee’s clinical interests include providing excellent care to patients of all ages. He is detail oriented and takes a systematic and evidenced-based approach to medicine. He also employs the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound as a diagnostic tool and platelet rich plasma as a therapeutic intervention in his care for patients.

He is passionate about bringing his diverse clinical and academic background to patients and athletes of all ages and skill levels. In his free time, he enjoys indulging in an eclectic variety of music and food offerings, in addition to traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
