Dr. Ellis is one of the UNC Sports Medicine Fellows doing her yearly rotation at CFPSM.

Residency: East Carolina University/Vidant Medical Center Family Medicine Residency

Medical School:  Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine – Carolinas Campus

Undergrad: Presbyterian College

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Dr. Ellis received her undergraduate degree at Presbyterian College where she played Division I Lacrosse. She received her medical education from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in South Carolina. She went on to complete her Family Medicine residency at East Carolina University/Vidant Medical Center.

While in residency, Dr. Ellis served on the ECU Physicians High Value Care and Quality Committee, the ECU Resident and Fellow Council, and the Vidant Medical Center Root Cause Analysis Charter. She also participated in the Brody School of Medicine Community Preceptor Program.  At the completion of her residency, she received the 2021 Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Resident Teacher Award.

In her free time, she enjoys scuba diving, hang gliding, traveling with her golden retriever Jack Sparrow, and is currently working towards her pilot license.
